Here is the first blog from the Network. Anna and I have finally finished sorting out the conference. Although I have to say Anna has done most of the work over in Poland! We are very excited about this first conference for the Network and are looking forward to meeting you in Warsaw.
I'm going over early with some colleagues to enjoy some sightseeing - when I was over in February it was snowing and very icy, so I didn't get to see much of the city. Hopefully, this time it will be warm and sunny.
We have some good news for those of you who will be coming to SE II in April. I have chatted up the Keeper of the Monastery Library and he in turn has chatted up the Abbot so that SE II will be held at Downside Abbey. This is great news as it will provide us with a great deal of space, a refectory, bar, break-out rooms, a lounge and residential options for those who want them.
Do have a look at their website: http://www.downside.co.uk/Abbey/about_us/about_downside_abbey.php.
The grounds are beautiful and there are some great local places to visit, like the smallest city in England, Wells [where I live!].
